Polttomoottorit jaotellaan kuutiotilavuuden, sylinteriputken porttien määrän ja hehkutulpan muodon mukaan.

Polttoaineena 2T-moottoreissa käytetään metanolin, nitrometaanin (16-25%) ja öljyn seosta.

Autot tankataan pikaisesti varikolla noin 5 min välein, ja kilpailu jatkuu jopa tunnin kestävän finaalin ajan..
